This was good to do, putting together this list was a good way to vent, I guess. It was hard coming up with 100 things though, that's for sure. Though, I think everyone should do this some time. It’s cathartic in a way :) It's good to get it all out in the open. Good for the soul!
There are heaps of things that I loathe. Here's my list- in random order:
1. ppl not havin any manners and general rudeness – wot-so-ever! (tht includes the whole text/sms thng - refer previous post)
2. ppl complaining all the time bout how their life is so much worse then everyone else’s - suck it up n deal with it!
3. ppl being stubborn n thinkin they r always right
4. ppl letting their babies cry n scream in public n let their kids go out-of-control without taking care of thm at all. if u cant take care of yr own effing kids stay home with thm
5. the Question – “Can I ask u a question?” (tho, I use it alllll the time :-p)
6. bad grammar like ‘Bob n me’. ITS Bob n I!
7. whn ppl try to manipulate me n ppl tryin to use me - jst cause I find it hard to say 'NO'
8. bathrooms with no hot water!
9. bad hygiene - in-excusable
10. ppl who build thmselves up by puttin others down
11. ppl who r always on the defensive
12. ppl who spit on the ground. Gross. Stop actin like a neanderthal n swallow ur spit like the rest of us
13. abuse of power
14. being the only sober person at a party. Or getting there whn everyone else is already shit-faced, havin to catch up, n then by the time I do, things r winding down n everyone’s ready to leave/pass out
15. stubbin my toe
16. hangovers - uuurrrghhh
17. ppl hovering behind me when am sitting down or talk to me standing - it makes me really uncomfortable and make me wanna stand up or have them sit down
18. ppl who take their bad days out on others
19. hypocrites n double standards
20. whn my favourite cd's scratched or my music skips
21. cat callers. It’s not a compliment. It’s creepy n rude. I’m just goin on a walk, not dancin at a bar. Please leave me alone
22. meaning to say somethin, someone interruptin u, n then forgettin it
23. being let down n generally ppl who dont keep promises
24. fake laughs n smiles
25. goin through 10s of automated voice recordings before u can speak with an actual person
26. pathetic excuses
27. time, n the way tht it moves too quickly through the good times n obnoxiously slow through the bad
28. leaving voice mails - I always end up sayin something stupid!
29. infidelity and being unfaithful - deal breaker in any relationship
30. those who hav explicit ignorance towards others feelings n r merely there to pursue only their happiness
31. dwelling on the past, I’ve learned not to bt it’s still rather hard at times
32. miserable ppl who want to bring u down
33. when ppl make me go on guilt trips unnecessarily
34. whn ppl act different with u than they r with someone else - also two-faced!
35. ppl who play with ur feelings
36. being indecisive
37. the line ‘We need to talk’
38. grinding teeth
39. whn ppl say ‘Never mind’ or ‘Forge bout it, it was nothing’ Like if u bring it u say it, or just don’t bring it up
40. being kept in suspense
41. the feeling of guilt when I hav done something very very wrong
42. not knowing wot a word means
43. social, political, cultural n religous ignorance
44. whn ppl say they r fine whn they r obvoiusly not
45. havin a lot of energy, bt nothing to do
46. ppl who expect the world n it’s grnmother frm me, bt give nothing in return whn I need it the most
47. sending a text message to the wrong person. – happens to me all the time!
48. whn I get food stuck in my teeth
49. whn I hit my own self destruct btton – specially on night-outs ;)
50. not using (or being able to remember) the right word
51. spitefulness
52. feeling overwhelmed
53. talking with ppl who won’t tell me wot they actually feel n get to the point
54. ppl tellin me wot my priorities should be n ppl tht tell me how to live my life, spend my money, etc. IT’S MY CHOICE! LEAVE ME ALONE ALREADY!
55. Insensitivity
56. ppl who r so stuck on being loyal to their political party, they start defending the most ridiculous things
57. my camera running low on battery whn I need it the most
58. whn ppl make me second guess myself
59. whn I can’t get the lids off of things
60. whn I try to drink a juice pouch n it squirts all over me
61. whn u feel like something bad is goin to happen
62. whn I can’t make everyone happy. I end up getting 30 shades of pissed off cause I can’t fix all their problems
63. water weight. WTF is tht anyway? Shouldn’t it go away since I hav the bladder of an infant n I pee every 30 minutes
64. whn I’m in a hurry to get something done n my computer wants to run slower than a paraplegic
65. whn one section of my hair wants to flip out whn the rest lays flat
66. ppl who can’t just drop an argument
67. drama being brought on for no real reason…
68. the last hour of work. y does it draaaaag?
69. chipped nail polish
70. watered down drinksserved to me at bars! - stop takin me for an idiot n give me my moneys worth!
71. the pair of pants u hav in which for some strange reason the zipper doesn’t want to stay up! I HATE tht!
72. folding back the cover of a book n wrapping it around the spine n dog ears )= tht hurts me, books r precious things, be nice to thm
73. ppl i hardly know who call me "babe" or "baba"
74. moments of intense self stupidity
75. my lack of self control at times
76. gray hairs. Holy f*ck, they’re popping up everywhr! WTF, I’m only in my thirties!
77. being tardy. It makes me very nervous n i start pasing, n it’s just not very good
78. ppl who dont answer my question straight forward
79. injustice & inequality
80. someone picking n eating frm my plate unless I offer
81. fight over stupid things with ppl u love
82. the fact tht my f*ing DVD player keeps telling me 'no disk' or 'error' whn I just put in the latest movie I’ve been dying to watch it !
83. ppl who continuously whine bout problems after u’ve given (whn they’ve asked) numerous amounts of advice! (n they refuse to follow it)
84. ppl who make criticism their life work
85. movies tht mangle great books
86. ppl who think tht money/status/power is more important than ethics/kindness/compassion
87. feeling beholden to ppl
88. bad breath
89. making undue assumptions, snap judgements n jumping into hasty conclusions
90. pure n simple greed
91. finishing a good book. To me, it’s like a good friend moving a few thousand miles away
92. ppl who take advantage of other ppl n their weaknesses
93. unclean toilets
94. queue jumpers
95. ppl tht laugh at other ppl’s dreams
96. not knowing wot the future holds
97. unexpected, unexplained and unfair bill increases
98. denial!
99. ppl without patience for those who obviously need it- i.e with kids, ppls wth special needs n older ppl
100. n LAST bt NOT LEAST … always falling for the wrong person
So there you have it - my list of things that has always had that fingernails-on-a-chalkboard effect for me.
